Typically used as a structural side palm fixing for the upright on either straight or sloping
guardrail keeping the upright as close as possible to the slope or stairs. When used as a
secondary inline fixing the base needs to be machined to allow the tube to pass through and
the bottom fixing hole then becomes redundant.
